Did that a while ago. Started on Eyes Only, and beat both levels using only the fist and Alien Weapon. It wasn't in M1A1, but I didn't use the pistol anyway.

I checked again after writing this, and Siva was completely right; you can reach the recharger through the window. I guess I just wasn't persistent enough the first time.
