You can open up M1A1 in Forge, and check Polygon Types under the view menu and follow the color key for Must be Explored (they MbE polygons should be second to darkest green). Then you can just hit all the ones you need to be safe and you're off! Might take quite a few minutes, but that's how I did it.

Took me a month to figure out. Silly me.
