I've used my old 500MHz Ti PB to charge my 17" 1.5GHz PB - same voltage, but perhaps a little less current as there is that few minute lag to wake from sleep when chaging a depleated battery. I think you have to go back to the original G3 PB before the chargers become incompatible.
