Yeah that one is a rather interesting take on it, if that's what it is :).
I've decided that the Spotlight icon in OS X Tiger is just the Marathon icon rotated a bit and then resized inside. In fact it would be most appropriate for someone to make a replacement that was more marathon-like. What would be more appropriate than having the icon in the menubar? And right opposite the Apple icon, at that :).
