***__#004002004__*** Note the Control = assimilated. I think this is Leela being assimilated, but it is possible just the control over the terminal was being assimilated. In any case, there is a decent amount of assimilation going on. Durandal makes a comment soon after this mentioning the S'pht: ***INCOMING MESSAGE FROM DURANDAL***
Leela can't reach you here, but I can. I am able to access
Were the S'pht the ones who assimilated Tycho and Leela? Makes sense. The reason I bring this up is mostly because of the talk we had about how the S'pht interfaced with the AI. Assimilation is, in a sense, an absorbing. When I think of assimilation the Borg usually come to mind. I think it's highly likely that the Marathon AI were assimilated in a like manner. The S'pht attacked Leela portion by portion, slowly taking over her system. They kept absorbing her. If Tycho was assimilated like this it would explain why the S'pht could then recreate him. They knew everything about his code because they stole it from him. But why couldn't they do the same thing to Durandal? Was it his rampancy? Was he growing faster than they could assimilate? I'm too lazy to go look up all of the references of Leela getting owned by the S'pht... |
