: The problem of getting it onto the DS is already solved. You need a GBA flash
: card, available from your favorite Hong Kong videogame specialist, and a
: special card to redirect execution into the ARM7 at startup. The need for
: the special card should be gone within a few weeks, if you're willing to
: open up your DS and flash the firmware.
: I think the biggest issue would probably be texture space. The DS has decent
: poly pushing ability, but Marathon uses a relatively large number of
: textures. I personally just finished a tool to convert Quake2 MD2 files to
: run on the DS, so maybe 3D enemies would be a possibility. Marathon also
: has a ton of enemies - thanks to using sprites, so you'd need to do some
: really clever LOD stuff or have fewer, tougher, enemies (which would
: change the feel of the game.)
: Probably doable. Not by me, though, I have about 10x too many projects
: already...
