Ydnar still does a fair amount of game-related stuff, although he seems to have shifted over to Quake-engined games (he made Q3Map2, a BSP compiler for Quake-engine games, and I think he had something to do with GtkRadiant as well, but I might be wrong there).

He used to have some amazing textures up at his website (shaderlab.com), but seems to have pulled them down now.
