My thoughts on a MBO main page:
Needs to organize the structure better than just listing the sub-sites. The MAIN PAGE of Marathon@Bungie.Org should have quick and easy links and summary (very short) instructions for any newbie coming by to get the entire Trilogy with Aleph One for their platform of choice. Right up at the top, preferably.
The sub-sites should have descriptions, and be presented in some sort of logical order, i.e.
Information:
: : : :Spoiler Guide (learn how to play Marathon here)
: : : :Vidmaster (learn how to play Marathon WELL here)
: : : :Story Page (read stuff about Marathon here)
Scenarios:
: : : :Source (the engine project is here)
: : : :Recruits (get your project started here)
: : : :ScenarioNews (project news goes here)
: : : :The Big House (host your project here)
: : : :The Orphanage (dead projects go here)
: : : :The Archives (upload your project here)
Miscellaneous:
: : : :Map of the Month
: : : :PM Archives
: : : :Arena
: : : :Resurrection
That's just randomness off the top of my head... graphically it looks alright. I'm more concerned with structure that graphics though.
