Under MacOS it's simply a creator code/type issue that ResEdit/Knife/Fork/QuickEdit or similar can be used to fix in moments... RED has the same problem...

As for the Windows one, I have no idea what the problem is caused by, but you can get rid of it by simply moving every third/fourth/kazillionth party item out of the folder. Oh, or maybe trash the prefs.
