Looks like a clue to the whole "durandal in Chip" issue from a section of the story page.
It might've been possible that when we pick up the chip containing 'Durandal's primordial pattern' on Hangbrain, we had a sequence where it showed the process of implanting it into the player's Brain. kind of a break in between levels showing what was going on on the player's physical body while you're off in dream land on Electric Sheep 2 and Eat the Path.
But the image looks kind of sloppy, so it might've been left out at the final stages of Infinity's creation and never made it into the game.
