I have problems c&p between OSX and OS9 apps too. Here's the trick that works for me for some reason:

1) Copy from OSX app (i.e. Photoshop).
2) Click the desktop.
3) Click to Classic app (Anvil, ResEdit...)
4) Paste in Classic app.

Maybe that will work for you. It's only one extra click per c&p (the desktop step #2).

Oh yeah, I almost forgot....

5) Profit!
6) There is no step six.
7) Take over the world! Muahahahahahahahahaha!
