Marathon? I should have been trolling for Stubbs story tidbits. Will Andrew Monday use Jurassic Park technology to [?create] some kind of prehistoric monster hippo, which then becomes zombified? I doubt they'll make the player kill a hippo during normal gameplay, but maybe it dies in some other way.

I don't want to build unreasonable expectations, of course. Bungie made plenty of great games without overt hippo content, and the Wideload hippo logo will be all over the interface and packaging/marketing anyway, so maybe putting hippos in the story would be overkill. But writing this has made me somewhat more impatient to see more of the game.
Maybe in the far future Wideload will make one game that's all about a hippo, and all the hippo references/eggs in their other games will be [?commonly construed] as references to that.
Also, someone started a Wideload forum while I wasn't looking.
