In Response To: Re: Uh... (Steve Levinson)

: Hmm. Back in the old Classic Mac OS days when we used ResEdit, I knew exactly
: what resources to change. It looks like you haven't messed with the
: original AO resources, however, and probably don't want to. One
: possibility is that the creator code is hard-wired in the AO code for
: saving a game. It's not a good way to write code, but this is a volunteer
: project, after all. Perhaps someone in the open source forum could help
: you out with this.

...Trawling the AO source was the thing that drove me insane... oh well, getting a snippet of code is easier than trying to read the map format...

// LP change: moved values to filetypes_macintosh.c
enum Typecode {

_typecode_unknown= NONE,

_typecode_creator= 0,

_typecode_scenario,

_typecode_savegame,

(goes on and on)

NUMBER_OF_TYPECODES
};

Umm, I only have the SDL source which doesn't include filetypes_macintosh.c... but I'm guessing it's hard coded into it.
