For the landscape, you need this patch, if you're not working off of an earlier Mark: http://eternal.psyjnir.net/files/Shapes/Landscapes/NewForrest/LandscapeShuttle.sit Then in Forge, set the landscape to "Space", but instead of just the space landscape at the end of your textures, you should have another one after that. That's the right one. Open up level 10 ("To Sleep Perchance To Dream") of any Eternal Mark in Forge and see what it's landscape is - that's the one you should be using. : I think maybe taking out the water maze could help this, or at least the
I rather like this idea of having high-tech computer core stuff in the midst of natural caves, with running water all around. Think of the buildings of Rivendell in LotR, or the Halo 2 net map "Waterworks", if you've seen either of them. Or maps like "Strange Aeons" in Infinity. In fact Strange Aeons is almost a perfect stylistic example. Perhaps start out more natural as you have it on the upper levels, and then go down into a more symmetrical, artificial-looking space when you reach the deeper places. : Thats fine, I have some done of level 8 and some plans for nine. I'll keep
Cool, thanks a bunch. Keep in mind that the place that all of this is taking place at is basically outdoors, even though technically it's in space - think like Halo. A giant artificial construct that looks like you're on a planet, from the surface. So level 8, where you're boarding the ship, should be mostly outdoors - the image I have in my head is "Truth And Reconciliation" from the first Halo, with a big ship hovering in the distance - in place of the "gravlift" is a "transporter relay" (automatic exit to the next level). Then of course, level 9 is all indoors on the ship. Thanks a bunch man! The fate of the galaxy rests in your hands! |
