You can’t know what you haven’t learned yet. Everyone has to start somewhere, but it just so happens that a lot of the folks here started a long time before you (I’m talking about 1994ish, or even before that, with PiD) and thus know a lot more. If you want to learn something, just ask; I’ve since learned that this little community here is one of the most helpful and gracious places on the ‘net when it come to sharing knowledge.
Oh, and it may have something to do with the fact that a lot of us here are total losers who have nothing better to do than sit around speculating on the history of the Nar and their coal-powered interstellar battlewagons.
PS. If are uncertain or have a question about something in particular, and don’t want to spend seven hours wading through the incredible behemoth we call the story page, one thing that I have found useful is to use this forum’s search function to look through its archives; their has been a lot of insightful speculation here over the years, and odds are that you will find what you were looking for.
You can also use Google’s “site specific” search to look for specific keywords on the story page. I have learned a *lot* of specific details using this method.
