Questions only about the music? But I want to know all the secrets!!!

Well, ok:

-What instrument were used?
-Was all the MIDI sequences or was there any live performance?
-What software was used for sequences?
-Did any bands, songs or movie soundtracks influence Marathon music?
-Are there any sevens in Marathon music? ;-)
