In Response To: Re: Eternally Amazed! (Forrest of B.org) : There is not an emoticon appropriately large to describe the smile on my
How about 8-D : Nope, not supposed to happen. Though the circuits are all identical, at least
I'm not saying it was that particular circuit - but it was with that circuit that that happened to me. It could be a problem with all of them, or just a fluke that will never happen again. : Right, that's not supposed to work like that. Either I forgot to check them
That's what I meant by the "back terminal", and I did read Hathor's rant. : Actually it is textured, but you're stuck so close that you can't turn around
Maybe I should have said 'temproarily stuck' - I did indeed wait for the platform to come back down : I had initially though to have them all activate and ambush you, but then I
A very good question. If they all acted at once, I think you're right, I'd be forced to retreat and it wouldn't take long to figure out that I could just wait for them in the hallway. Monster impassable polys would keep them inside, but then you'd find a bunch of them right inside the door. Perhaps if you had an explanation about them beginning the process of stasis, or something like that, it wouldn't seem so weird. I would also add some random monster trigger polys throughout the room so that you would never know which monsters would wake up next. : Yeah, Ooga had a real nice start on this level. He's built some other pretty
Definitely use this map for something - it's terrific. : I think they are regenerating. Did they not regenerate for you? I didn't stick around long enough to find out, but when I later explored the level, I didn't notice any coming back. I checked in Forge and they are not regenerating. : Thanks a bunch, and thank you for all the feedback! I'm all jazzed to keep
I'm sure we will. BTW, did you read my post a little ways down on the 3 AIs? It points to an older post by poena.dare - an essay on the nature of the 3 Marathon AIs and the warped mind of Bernard Strauss. It's up to you, but I'd appreciate it if you give some thought to my ideas on Durandal's core. If I didn't state it there, I'm not trying to justify using level 5 for his core - this is a separate issue that happens to support my idea. It's almost morning here, so I guess I'd better get to bed - or eat breakfast. Keep up the good work! G'night. |
