I wrote the first 2500 words in one night I was so taken by the idea of the Phfor Queen, though some of the paragraphs that made it into the piece were written over a year ago, especially those concerning the marine.

Yep, it's true: I reread your Maraff work to brush up on what I put in there concerning the S'Pht, I really liked some of the concepts you'd developed and thought they'd fit nice with what I had (hope you don't mind). I also spent a decent amount of time on the SP perusing the terminals and Facts and Puzzling Things sections...
