My problem before was that I was using the Images file from Eternal1Mac128.zip. As far as I can tell, that file is bad. It doesn't work in Aleph One SDL or Infinity 1.5.

The Images file from EternalMkI_SDL_Data.zip worked with both apps. So did the one from the partially unzipped Eternal1SDL128.zip. I'm also using the Scripts folder from there.

Apparently I was supposed to download EternalMkI_SDL_Data.zip, then replace that Images with a completely different one. I'm guessing the correct Images is the same as the one in Eternal1SDL128.zip. The file is bigger, and the splash screen shows up properly in Windows.

: I had the same problem downloading the Lo-Res version and trying to run it on
: Windows XP.
