To each their own. Yet...
I for one have run into far more people sporting obvious net alias' who are immature about their online conduct than those using real-land names.
I'm not disputing some a person named "Bob" could call themself "Ethyl" or "James" online - they are simply either in the minority, or the tend to carry their online persona well.
I mean no disrespect to those who carry their online names with a proud face - I simply feel it's time for me to drop "Ernie" by the wayside. My real name of "Blayne" is far cooler than a childs program chatacter. Perpetually putting up with "where's Bert?" jokes gets old very quickly. heh
...but really: Announcing the addition of an non-standard character to your ficticious name doesn't exactly scream maturity. But it's ok Siph. We still love you.
