The steps taken to create the big link I gave were:

Take Eternal Mk I for OSX Medium-Res

Substitute the SDL files from http://eternal.psyjnir.net/files/Application/EternalMkI_SDL_Data.sit

(this makes it load under Windows at all)

Replace Shapes with the fixed Shapes file at http://eternal.psyjnir.net/files/Application/FixedShapes.sit

(this makes it not crash when trying to start a new game)

Rename Eternal.mml to xEternal.mml

(this fixes the main interface rects, the HUD sprite placement, the inventory text strings, etc)

In Text_Strings.mml, change the string "Physics Model" to just "Physics".

(this makes it automatically select the right Physics file, so weapons all work right)

Download and unstuff fixed Images file at http://eternal.psyjnir.net/files/Application/ImagesVxx.sit
Rename the "Images.rsrc" that comes out of that archive to just "Images" discarded the other files.
Replace the old Images with the new Images you just renamed.

(this makes the splash screen and HUD background appear properly)

Convert the Music file from MP3 to AIFF.

(this makes the title music play)

So if you just want to do the steps yourself, go right ahead.
