That's basically what I meant. And no, it wasn't a teaser. I'm quite sure nobody's working on it now. Maybe someday most pre-OS 9 Macs will have broken down, and people will still want to play the M1 scenarios in the Archives, and Apple still won't want its copyrighted ROMs passed around. In that case, the only solution would be for someone to port all the scenarios to M1A1, or update the M1 engine itself. Emulation is probably the better solution, since you can play other old Mac games that will never be open-source, but you need a Mac ROM, and it takes a lot more clicks to get to the game that way. |
