: The world is a very large hollow sphere, with artificial gravity and a
: habitat on the inner surface. To get in or out, there are tall mountains
: that reach "in" toward the center of the sphere,
: "above" the atmosphere into vacuum; these mountains have holes
: in their centers leading "down", "out" of the sphere.
: (Holes into space basically; hence why they have to be above the
: atmosphere). You are on the top of one such mountain (though due to engine
: limitations the scale of the hole is rather off; there are some perfectly
: good excuses why this particular hole may be so small, I'll let you choose
: any one you like). That's why, if you notice, the sky has continents and
: large-scale weather formations in it, as seen from "above".
