In Response To: M1/M2 Monster preferences (Forrest of B.org)

: In Eternal, I am porting some of the M1 monster sprites in place of their M2
: counterparts. The Hunters and the Compilers are the only two of these that
: I have done thus far, but I'd like to get input from the community - are
: there any other monsters common to both M1 and M2 that you think just
: looked better in M1?

To get a good feel for what M1 hunters would look like with the other M2 sprites, take a look at Ben Potter's Marathon Fell. All-in-all, I think they look much more Pfhor-like than the M2 hunters. Remember, the Pfhor are a light-weight, low-gravity exoskeletal species. The M2 hunter just doesn't fit the mold - even if it is more intimidating.

The case for the M1 compiler is admitedly weaker, but I still found the M1 compiler to be more foreboding than the M2 version. Given the choice, I would definitely go with the M1 version. For fighters, troopers and enforcers, I prefer the M2 versions. For juggers, I don't like either very much - consider going with either the Rubicon juggers or the TI super juggers - they look particularly cool. And do be sure to bring back the lookers and wasps, as did Rubicon.
