Marathon 1 Net?

I happened to be replaying M1 the other day and I was wondering.. does anyone play net games anymore? Or was M1 even too old to play over the internet and you have to play over a LAN server? I'm sure I knew at one point but I don't anymore. And it would be fun to see how good I am at Marathon compared to others. Thanks
