: Just for those of you who haven't heard: Bungie is now taking sign-ups for
: their fanfest at the 2004 E3 in Los Angeles. Sooner you sign up, the
: better your chances of being one of the lucky fifty.
: I won't be going; I'm on the wrong side of the country. If any of you make
: it, be sure to tell the rest of us how it went.
Meh... wasn't all that great last time. I almost won the trivia content and I showed up the judges once, but... duh. I find E3 as a whole greatly overrated, and no way in hell am I going back into LA just for that. It's hard enough to get me back into that city for something I really want to do. (And not, it's not distance that's at issue, I'm an hour or two's drive away).
And is Bungie officially running the fanfests now, not B.org/Miguel? In 2K1 (which was quite fun... prerelease Xboxes and 8-player Halo on projector screens, with comfy chairs to boot) it was all a fan-organized thing which Bungie was nice enough to attend and present at. I know last year it must have had Bungie involvement to use E3 as the site, but I figured it was still mostly fan-organized. I've been too lazy to care lately, so if someone could fill me in...
