I agree with Mark and Steve. This was definitely my least favorite level. Heck, let's be honest here. I hated this level. Generally, I do not do well with, nor particularly care for levels that have lots of narrow hallways. I suppose it has to do with my passion for using my fists. Obviously, this level prohibits that kind of attack, at least on Death Wish.

What I found most disturbing is that on Death Wish, you have to slowly fight your way all the way up the stairs, hoping that you don't run into ANOTHER one of those stupid regenerating Head Bots, fight through that damn door that Steve mentioned, and do all of this with one stinking shield. After you drop down into the labyrinth, Ian rewards you with a whole 1x canister (wow). Assuming you survive running through the two "stupid to stay and fight" rooms, then and only then do you finally reach a 1x recharger. And I suppose just to add insult to injury, there is also a 2x recharger around the corner. Didn't anyone find that to be quite an insane design? At least I did. I mean you have all this hard fighting for practically the whole level with NO shield recharger (ok, ok, one canister) and after all the fighting THEN you are rewarded with a 1x recharger and a 2x recharger several feet from each other. Stupid design in my opinion.

By the way, this is the only level ( I believe) where it is virtually impossible to collect all the ammo. Once you drop down the first time into the labyrinth, there are two avenues you can take. Each path requires you drop down again. Along each of these ways, there is a small ammo cache. However, it is not possible (without launching yourself back up) to collect both caches. Arggg.....I really, really hate that.

As with Steve, I had to drop back to an easier setting to get to the first PB. After that, I went with DW the rest of the way. I simply did not have the patience to keep trying to get to that first PB on DW. So Mark, if you finished this level completely on DW, then I tip my Marathon hat to you!
