: Excuse me if i am a newbie, but wtf is it with all of these *NM* posts?

*NM* means "No Message", and you use it when you have just a very short thing to say. So just write what you're going to say in the subject heading, leave the message part blank, and the message will show up with *NM* automatically placed after it. Took me a while to figure it out.
