I've still got the list, and I've got about 12 other maps (from large to huge) that I just haven't gotten around to tweaking, adding monsters, etc. I may include those just to get them all out the door. My main problem is time, other problems include getting someone to help compile the terminal picts - I don't use Resedit, so ... That's why there were no new picts in Fell 2.0. Some of the levels would have benefited from them, I think.

The problem with Petal, which is only the second
: level in the scenario, is that it's nearly unplayable, particularly on TC.
: This is a HUGE level and yet there is only one pattern buffer, and to get
: to it you have to brave an onslaught of monsters, including hunters,
: cyborgs and troopers with only dual magnums (if you find the 2nd magnum),
: a single alien weapon and some fusion ammo.

True, I didn't test this level well enough on TC. When John played it through on TC, I think he activated too many monsters, because they were mostly frozen (on his vid film). I also need to fix one of the lights, because for some weird reason if you go through a certain section, one of the lights used for lighting fixtures (bright) turns to the darkest setting. Weird.

You're supposed to first
: retrieve the AR from deep within a cave, but the heavy monster quotient to
: get there is so high that it's just too dangerous to go for it.

Actually I set up a monster impassable poly (Poly 678) so that you can take them out with your pistols.

Also,
: there is no time to read the instructions at the start of the level and
: it's generally too dangerous to go back and read it until much later.

No new monsters teleport in (aside from the opening trigger), and none should be going there later in the game.

The
: sad thing is that this is really a neat level - epic in fact - it's just
: too frustrating to play in its current form. Just adding a pattern buffer
: and shield recharger in the cave system would make all the difference in

I would probably place it outside near the terminal, with perhaps a few more munitions. After all, the cave walls wouldn't be appropriate placement for a save term.

What about Tombs?

I'll see what I can do after my defense. Thanks again for your efforts in compiling the bug list. My main focus (when there's time) is to finish the levels I've started since Fell 2.0. Last I heard, I gave some of them to the RTM team, but I haven't heard from them in a while.
