| In Response To: Evil: BEER WINE GUNS AMMO PICNIC SUPPLIES (Mark Levin)
The hunters are a major pain on this level, but easily dealt with. Don't forget to use the 2X recharger bofore leaving the initial area of the level, as you won't be able to come back to it. There is one room in particular that is opposite the turrets Mark mentioned in his post from which 5 major hunters emerge. If you quick and good, you can wedge yourself in the door before they come out and fist them all, one at a time, without taking too much damage. Once they're all gone, you can enter the room and there is even a manual switch to open the door so that you can exit - obviously the possibility of someone muscling their way in was anticipated - but there's absolutely nothing of interest in here. This brings up a gripe of mine - what good is doing something unexpected and cool like that if there is no reward for it? I'm not saying that mapmakers should have secrets in every corner or that they shouldn't occasionally have a trap, but persistence ought to be rewarded, either with a little ammo, a terminal with something interesting on it, a power-up or at least some eye candy. Evil is plagued throughout with major fights in expansive areas which serve absolutely no purpose in the game. Truthfully, this is more realistic than what we're used to, but from a gameplay standpoint there should be something to make these fights worthwhile.
