In Response To: Let's tackle this one... (Miguelito) Some info: I used travelocity and chose the dates that were easiest to pick. In other words, I didn't drill very far. I'm sure if I was very particular about the dates I wanted to travel that the prices would increase by quite a bit. Also keep in mind that I live in a major city (NYC) so I probably have some sort of advantage. I'm obviously not investigating hotel rates, which might carry it's own method of checks and balances and could lend a different bottom line when taken into consideration, e.g. LV could be cheapest airfare, but the hotels could be outrageous. Then again, I should mention that I hope to make the future fanfests more travel friendly, e.g. discount airfares and group hotel rates. I haven't a clue just how MUCH it will save you, since, being an experienced Expo traveler, I know it's possible to get better deals, sometimes, circumventing the supposed discount rates that the Expo travel agency provides. I'm going to include Orlando, which I think is the king of all-year round cheap airfares... someone please correct me if I'm wrong. ------------------ All in all, the range of prices is not that wide if we only include the cities Bungie lists. Orlando is super cheap however. Figure you could use that saved money to rent a car or pay for an extra day at the hotel... or, who am I kidding? going to Disneyland! :-) |
