I recently finished the book "Decipher" by Stel Pavlou, and I must say it was thrilling read! It started off slow, but it quickly acclerated in pace...
But most interesting is the plot, which points to a mysterious predecessor to the humans, building structures around the world, with the walls covered in strange symbols.
Here's a passage I find most interesting:
"For suddenly, three vast and formidable columns of energy, perfectly straight, and immaculately formed, shot up into the sky. One from each of the three peaks.
Like cannons aimed at the heavens, the three pyramids loosed their vicious arsenal, and screamed in primal victory. They had awakened, after millennia of slumber. And their wrath was considerable."
As if from an old, or new, dream.
