This a quote from the Marathon Connection page:
"While these games [Marathon series] are no longer being produced individually, all three games are still available for the Mac on the Mac Action Sack and Marathon 2 is available for the PC in extremely limited quantities at the soon to reopen Bungie Store."
So I don't think it'll end the Marathon eBay market. As a matter of fact, it may even increase the market activity as people buy shrink-wrapped copies and try to sell them on eBay.
Only time will tell.
