Classic Marathon enhanced? | ||

I gave up hope for a classic Marathon remake, so now I'm looking for new technology to program something that removes the current limits. I've found 2D and 3D portal rendering. 2D: Aleph One uses lines in view cones to clip lines in polygons. 3D: Doom 3 uses mathematical planes in frustums to clip polygons. Theoretical: Can I use portal rendering as a acceleration structure in ray tracing? Still experimenting with that Doom 3 polygon clipping to add 5D space to it and I'm still researching ray tracing. Will the new Marathon game have 5D space?
