Indeed yes. I namecheck Nightmare Reaper as looking like a Rougelike PID successor, though the video I learned about it from (and embedded in old posts here from last year) described it as "Rise of the Triad as a looter shooter".
Rougelike PID would be a cool concept to look at, especially when those randomiser packs for old Famicom games seem to do well with kids these days. I've got Yuge and I've been meaning to give it a go at some point.
Back when I thought I could do that Path of KAP mod, my original plan was for it to be a rougelike mod for PID like Yuge for Marathon, but where the demon at the end is an actual boss, but I decided if it were made at all it would be a non randomised Marathon mod as PID A1 didn't exist yet and it could let me be more creative with levels, though I've come to accept I may never manage to make it.
