: It already exists in 1.3. We removed it from 1.2.1 because the new
: implementation depends on an engine feature that didn't even exist when we
: released the last 1.2.1 beta (ephemera), and we deliberately limited
: 1.2.1's feature scope because feature creep is why 1.2.1 was delayed so
: long in the first place. We made some major bug fixes, minor level design
: changes, major physics changes, and minor texture changes after the betas,
: but we had to draw the line somewhere, and "engine features that
: didn't even exist in the last beta" seemed far outside our scope.
: The redesigned monster sprites aren't in 1.2.1 either. There's a link to two
: playlists featuring 1.3 footage in the readme; you can see what they look
: like (and the new implementation of precipitation) in either of those
: playlists.
