Good to have you back Gabe.

As the song says...

"You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!"

Your post prompted me to watch the first two episodes of Foundation. Had been meaning to do it anyway. I read the Foundation Trilogy as a young lad. Now in my twilight years watching the *second* best sci-fi trilogy ever is a no brainer.

Interesting to see how prominent that Marathon-like imagine is in that specific scene. It features in a number of shots with Hari Seldon. So far it only appears in that location on the ship. And this is the laundry. This will no doubt inspire a series of 'pod' jokes.

"The most important rule to remember when it comes to laundry detergent pods is to always add the pods to the drum before adding the clothes and water."

But I digress...

Calling this a "generation ship" is interesting. At one stage in the episode we are told that the voyage to Terminus will take only 4 years and 4 months. A few minutes later we are told it will take 54 months. You do the maths.

It's good to see that the Marathon trilogy is not alone in getting the story stuff mixed up.

Cheers
Hamish
