Reminds me of the comparisons I see between the Sword of Omens (2011 anime version) and Excalibur from Tomb Raider Legend despite their being too different.
Speaking of the energy sword in particular, I'm working on a comparison writeup of SPV3.1 as a companion to my old SPV3 Tour of Duty, which will be followed by one of the latest build too (SPV3.3).
Another thing to note is that the MCC branch of the Legendary rebalanced mod for Halo 2 is compatible again: it was broken by game updates but it's been rebuilt to work with MCC again. The Halo 2 Project Cartographer one has always worked, though it's gotten some Halo 1 PC Refined style Xbox restoration done to it.
(Unlike Halo 1, the missing stuff on the PC version is a tad less noticeable in Halo 2)
