I beat Descent 1 but only got so far through Descent 2 before rage quitting as it's much harder and Descent is a rather hard game at times to begin with.
Years before this much like Marathon and Halo, I was more familiar with Descent's spiritual successor, Conflict: Freespace-The Great War and Freespace 2, the former known as Descent: Freespace-The Great War outside Europe. I mostly watched my brother Wren play Freespace as a kid since while I did have a go myself sometimes, it's still no pushover.
