In Response To: Evolution in Game Mechanics (Tim "Mordeir" Branin)

I don't know about "experiences" specifically, but for games as a whole, I'll throw out:

• AI Dungeon
• Disneyland's interactive "rides" (e.g. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run)
• Dwarf Fortress
• Kinect and Wii's various motion-control games
• Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
• Minecraft
• Open-world space games (Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky, whatever exists at this point of Star Citizen)
• Portal

Then there's mobile multiplayer games like Among Us and Jackbox. Sure, you could connect four $300 Xboxes to a switch and play four $60 copies of a game on four TVs in 2001; but is that really the same experience as just opening an app on the phones you're already carrying?
