That's basically what I've suspected about Infinity for a few years now. I think I made a post on this forum a while back, but don't remember. The supposed appearance of K'lia at the end of the first Tycho section is a problem, but other than that, there aren't really any inconsistencies between it and the second one, and there's really no evidence of any timeline break between the second and third ones other than the dream levels being placed there.
I hadn't thought of K'lia just being a mistake, though, although it's possible. It does seem improbable that Durandal would have been able to get Thoth fully activated that early with just the Bobs, especially given how much trouble we had to go through to get that done in Marathon 2.
