Thoth, aleph, k'lia need helping understanding *LINK*

I play destiny, I know there are quite a few marathon references, but I'm wondering in a specific part (book: truth to power) if thoth is actually attempting to communicate. It knows it's out of place, like either in a new game or in the wrong time frame. Besides the typical it's just a reference, got any ideas n what may be happening, how or why would it be in Destiny's universe.
I say thoth but if you understand what would be communicating about k'lia, aleph, and knowing it's out of place...please let me know.
