Could you try some of the older 1.2 betas and see if any of those work? They're all available at:

http://eternal.bungie.org/development.php

I've had some reports from some people (all Windows users, who are the only ones who seem to have this trouble) that earlier betas worked fine for them and later ones stopped. We've been trying to sort out exactly where the problem began, and since I don't have a Windows machine (and the problem doesn't happen on my Mac) I can't do any testing myself to figure out what it might be, so the more info Windows users like you can give me, the better chance we might have of figuring this out.
