Also, this new Marathon remake/mod should also bring to the table some new elements for Aleph One in order to make it rival the latest versions of GZ Doom, examples of which are in the WAD Brutal Doom Starter Pack.
Examples of new Aleph One features could include:
-Sloped polygons
-Jumping and crouching for vents and gaps that are too far for the Sprint of Faith and Wall Walking to reach (New Vidmaster rule forbids using the jump button unless the gap cannot be crossed otherwise)
-Support for voiced dialog in terminals and character dialogs as an optional feature only (certain scenarios could use it, like an Aleph One remake of Strife)
-The ability to go back and forth between levels PID and Strife style
-True bridges and catwalks that can be set up similarly to 5D space room
over room
-Gravitational Anomaly Disk platforms
-Increased maximum polygon/map size
-Instant death floor/liquid polygons ala Strife for instant death pits
I could go on but we don't want to cram too much in all at once and I am running out of ideas anyway.
