I'm surprised at how many people think so lowly of the invaluable glance keys! I must wonder, are these the same people who mistakenly believe that the puzzle on Colony Ship For Sale, Cheap is somehow difficult?
I always use the glance key to quickly hit the switch to stop the platforms when they are in the correct position (or face the switch and use glance to watch the platforms, letting go when I want them to stop), but if someone had to manually switch between looking out the window and facing the switch, I can see where it might be difficult and lead to people having to backtrack.
