Even then, it takes a while for his metal support frames and ceramic skeleton to melt before his flesh goes, though less time if he's under the surface, that's the red bar being his vital signs and the yellow and purple being the main shields.

That or they are overshields and when his takes physical damage i.e. red health, the main shields stop the health lost being worse than what is already taken away. seen as how you have to admit a battleroid being as weak as the BOBs when his shields are down would be a very badly build cyborg.
