A hole in the vidmaster tenets interpretation

We all know you need to punch every switch but some levels don't let you do that and instead you need to use charged shots from the fusion pistol.

To counter this issue, a physics plugin was made to allow you to shoot certain switches with the pistol.

But here's the problem; The physics model is unnecessary to play as a Vidmaster properly: you can just substitute fusion shots for MA-75 grenades, keeping in line with the second tenet; to never shoot where you can use grenades. That's how I interpreted it anyway.

The second tenet does also mean grenade spamming whenever you can as well like I assume most people thought, just save some nades' for the out of reach switches.

However, pistol shooting may still need to be used if the switch is behind a hard to shoot through grate, like in We're Everywhere, as the grenades will just explode on the bars most of the time.
