Not quite as bad as comparing contemporary EA Games to olde timey Maxis circa 1990, but I don't think that anyone at Bungie now has any substantial connection to the Bungie folk of yore.
Yes, they were a bunch of miscreants who were too busy playing their own games to release them on time, but there was among them a sense of honor with regard to business practices and game design. That's how I remember it, at least.
Mind you that I ceased paying attention to Bungie when Halo 3 rolled out. I really don't know much about anything they are doing lately.
