I still remember there were hints in the game, but when you clicked on them a dialogue would pop up saying, "Are you sure you want to cheat by looking at hints? (Yes/No)" and you'd say "yes" and then it would take you to another dialogue that asked the same thing. There were 4 or 5 of these dialogues in a row until the last one which said, "Wouldn't you rather figure things out for yourself?" and out of habit you'd click "yes" again and be taken back to the game without seeing the hints. One of my favorite moments in a game.
