True, but irons didn't add teleporting to the game, he just enabled it in situations that Bungie did not anticipate. What Bungie did do was make it so that momentum is conserved while teleporting, which is pretty much the basis for a lot of Portal's gameplay, which is what immediately made me think of that game when I unexpectedly ended up on the platform after missing the jump. Could not have done it that way if I had been trying.
